This is Comet Hale-Bopp as it appeared after stacking seven 20 second exposure images starting
at 8:11pm localtime on April 4th. The image was taken with a Meade Pictor 416 attached to a
28mm F/3.5 lens stopped to F/5.6. The image was corrected with a dark frame and
logarithmically stretched. To the left and up from the comet is the open cluster M34.
