This is a combination of 15 images, each of 120 seconds The images were taken with a Alta-U9 attached to an Meade LX200R 12" F/10 telescope. Each of the images was corrected with a dark frame and a flat field.
The system was guided using an SBIG ST-402 Camera attached to an Megrez 110mm F/5.95 telescope (The Ian Kanan Adams Pass Telescope).
This shows the outer regions. The same image with other processing shows the inner details.
Note the 'cowlick' at the one o'clock position.
