This image is a combination of 4 layers. Layer 1 is Luminance is a combination of 2 images, each of 60 seconds. Layer 2 is Red is a combination of 5 images, each of 60 seconds. Layer 3 is Green is a combination of 5 images, each of 60 seconds. Layer 4 is Blue is a combination of 5 images, each of 60 seconds. Each of the images was corrected with a dark frame and a flat field. The images taken with a AltaF-9D2 attached to an Meade LX200R 12” F/10 telescope.
Guiding was done with an autoguider attached to the Ian Kanan Adams Pass Telescope, a Megrez 110mm F/5.95.
This is the last evening of imaging with the Apogee U9. It has given me nothing but grief and Apogee does not seem to be able to fix it.
