This is a mosaic of 3 images, each of 60 seconds
The images were taken with a Pictor 1616 attached to an Meade 10" F/2 telescope.
The exposures were unguided.
Each of the images was corrected with a dark frame and a flat field.
After combining, the image was logarithmically stretched. North is to the left.
This is full resolution, with all of the warts!
I am still learning how to flat field the wide (1.5 x 1 degree) fields. At the
time of imaging the galaxy was at an altitude of 30 degrees. I took only one
60 second exposure for each of the three locations. There was a hint of barrel
distortion in the merged image.
