Medusa Nebula

January 11, 1999 03:06UT

This is a combination of 20 one minute images taken with a Pictor 416XT. The Pictor was attached to an LX200 10" F/6.3 telescope. There was no guiding. Each of the 20 images was corrected with a dark frame and a flat field. After combining, the image was logarithmically stretched.

Low surface brightness contributes to the grainy appearance. The nebula is located at RA 7:29 Dec +13 15
